Donald R. LeBlanc, 85

SAUGUS — Mr. Donald R. LeBlanc, age 85, died on Tuesday, Aug. 23, surrounded by his family at the Hathorne Hill in Danvers. He was the husband of the late Janet M. (Jellison) LeBlanc.

Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Amedee and Bertha LeBlanc. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. Mr. LeBlanc worked as a production supervisor at General Electric in Lynn. He was a member of the Franco-American Club in Lynn. He was also a member of the St. Jean the Baptiste-St. Jean men’s choir, which sang for Pope John Paul at the Vatican. He had been a resident of Saugus since 1973.

Mr. LeBlanc leaves two daughters, Pamela Davey and her husband, Sean, of Hatfield, Laurel Lombardi and her husband, Mark, of Saugus, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother, Robert LeBlanc of Maine. He is predeceased by his daughter, Karen Danahy.

Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, on Sunday, 2-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment St. Jean Cemetery, Lynn.
