LYNN — Mrs. Mary A. (Pappa) McGuire, 90 years, of Lynn, died on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 in Union Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur R. “Mickey” McGuire.
She was born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Phillip and Carmella (Rufo) Pappa. She was raised in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. Mrs. McGuire lived in Lynn all of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother who collected Hummels, teddy bears and porcelain dolls.
Mrs. McGuire is survived by her daughter, Mary F. McGuire and her husband Douglas McTernan of Newburyport; her brother, Phillip Pappa Jr. of Peabody; her sisters, Antoinette Pappa of Lynn and Phyllis Cutone of Atlanta, Ga. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She is the sister of the late Constance Hughes, Josephine Evangelista, Viola Evangelista and Carmen Pappa.
Service information: Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016 at 9 a.m. from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, Lynn, at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
