LYNN — Three people were shot early Thursday morning, leaving one man critically injured.
State and Lynn police responded to a shooting at Bulfinch and Forest streets at about 3:40 a.m.
A 21-year-old black man from Lynn was shot in the head and rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, said Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly.
Following surgery, he was still listed in critical condition, Donnelly said.
Two more individuals were taken to North Shore Medical Center Union Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 20-year-old white Lynn man was shot in the torso several times and a 44-year-old Lynn man was shot in the leg, Donnelly said.
The incident is under investigation, but there were at least two guns involved and people shot at each other following a dispute. There are other suspects besides the victims, but no names are being released. Everyone involved knew each other, Donnelly said.
The identities of the victims have not been released by police.
