A Lynn man shot in the chest and leg Monday night is expected to survive, according to police.
The 22-year-old victim was found at 203 Lynn Shore Drive, but the incident did not take place among the crowd attending the city’s annual fireworks display along the roadway, according to Police. Lt. Rick Donnelly. Shell casings were discovered near the intersection of Deer Cove Street and Currier Road, a block inland from the shore.
The victim would not tell police what happened, according to Donnelly.
“He was not cooperative with police. We don’t have any information on the suspect,” he said.
Police declined to identify the victim of the shooting. He was taken by ambulance to Mass. General Hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.
