Arrests

Raymond Bryant, 63, was arrested and charged with drinking in public at 11:35 a.m. Monday.

William Mejia was arrested on warrant charges of nighttime breaking and entering for a felony, trespassing, disturbing the peace, shoplifting by asportation, disorderly conduct and malicious damage to a motor vehicle at 10:23 a.m. Monday.

Kenneth Newman, 52, of 1145 Washington St., Boston, was arrested and charged with larceny from a building, Class A drug possession, violation of the city knife ordinance, and carrying a dangerous weapon at 5:56 p.m. Sunday.

Dennis Reed, 38, of 100 Edgemere, was arrested and charged with possession of a burglarious instrument, destruction of property, and attempt to commit a crime at 10:32 p.m. Sunday.

Arrests

Michael Treadwell, 24, of 247 Forest St., was arrested and charged with three counts of larceny, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, number plate violation and on a warrant at 9:38 a.m. Saturday.

Rasheed Suarez, 37, of 70 Blue Hill Ave., Boston, was arrested and charged with failure to register as a sex offender and on a warrant at 9:35 p.m. Saturday.

Arrests

Dennis J. Caufield Jr., 26, of 24 Estes St., Apt. 2, Lynn, was arrested and charged with two counts of Class B drug possession with intent to distribute, Class A drug distribution with intent to distribute, Class C drug possession with intent to distribute and operating after a revoked license at 12:34 p.m. Monday.

James R. Legault Jr., 28, of 88 Green St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with two counts of Class B drug possession with intent to distribute, Class A drug possession with intent to distribute, Class C drug possession with intent to distribute and on a warrant at 12:34 p.m. Monday.

Matheus Lula, 25, of 76 Walnut St., Apt. 4, was arrested on a warrant at 11:56 a.m. Monday

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 6:18 a.m. Monday at 156 Shore Drive. A motorist reported car parts all over the road and a parked black Lexus with heavy front end damage. An officer reported speaking to the owner who stated that the front tire blew out on the car, which caused all of the damage.

Theft

A report of a stolen motor vehicle at 1:12 p.m. Monday at 22 Hancock St.

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 5:11 a.m. Monday at Leather City Commons at 77 Lowell St. A citizen reported vandalism to a fence near water canal at Leather City Commons. An officer reported two spindles slightly bent.

SAUGUS

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury at 2:17 p.m. Friday at McDonald’s at 127 Broadway. A vehicle into a pole with entrapment was reported by multiple callers. The fire captain reported a motor vehicle into a telephone pole with a single occupant, but there was no entrapment. The person was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and the vehicle was towed.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 11:23 a.m. Saturday at Best Buy/Square One Mall at 1201 Broadway; at 1:40 p.m. Sunday at 92 Lincoln Ave. Multiple callers reported a car into a telephone pole; at 6:32 p.m. Sunday at 590 Lincoln Ave.

Breaking and Entering

A report of a breaking and entering at WROL Radio Station at 70 Salem Turnpike.

Complaints

A report of suspicious activity at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Veterans Memorial Elementary School at 25 Hurd Ave. An employee reported male youths on the property smoking and drinking on the playground. Police reported walking around the school and speaking with several parents, and found that the call was unfounded.

A report of a disturbance at 9:51 a.m. Saturday at Burger King/Janco Central at 1449 Broadway. A caller reportedly witnessed two men fighting in the parking lot and one had a hammer. Police reported speaking to several people in the parking lot and restaurant, who stated they did not see anyone fighting; at 4:08 p.m. Saturday at Friendly’s at 777 Broadway.

Fire

A report of a fire at 6:41 p.m. Saturday at 21 Newhall Ave. A caller reported a fire on her stove.

Theft

A report of a larceny at 6 p.m. Sunday at 39 Summit Ave. A woman reported she had been seeing a man for about a week, and since that time, she is missing $500.

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 6:42 a.m. Saturday at 27 Spring St. A caller reported someone had thrown ice cream all over her vehicle. Police reported an ongoing issue with a neighborhood teen.
