SAUGUS — Sandra Louise (DelGenio) Cogliano, age 52, died at her home on Friday morning surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Andrew Cogliano, with whom she shared 30 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn and a lifelong resident of Saugus, she was the daughter of Ronald DelGenio of Saugus and the late E. Louise (Moore) DelGenio. A graduate of Saugus High School, Sandy worked for many years as a medical assistant. She enjoyed the gym, walking the beach, and lounging by the pool, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Besides her husband and father, she is survived by her children; Nicholas and Chelsea Cogliano of Saugus. She was the sister of David DelGenio and his wife Sandy of Wilmington, Shelly Newhouse and her husband Ralph of Wilmington and Sharon DelGenio of Saugus. She will be sadly missed by her cherished dog Bailey. Sandy was the daughter in law of Andy and Carol Cogliano of Saugus, sister in law of Kathy and Richard Weishaar of Middleton, Anthony and Theresa Cogliano of Saugus and Scott Cogliano of Saugus. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
