Steven P. Lavin, 27

LYNNSteven Patrick Lavin, age 27, of Lynn, died unexpectedly on Thursday at Union Hospital. He was the son of Michael C. and MaryBeth (Cronin) Lavin. A longtime Lynn resident, he attended Sacred Heart School, and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 2008. Steve enjoyed skateboarding and soccer. In his younger years, he played Little League and was instrumental in advancing his teams to various championships.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers; Michael E. Lavin and Sean W. Lavin and one sister; Jacqueline M. Lavin, all of Lynn; his grandmother; Jacqueline C. Lavin of Riverside, R.I., as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Carl E. Lavin and Edward and Helen Cronin.

Service information: His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 a.m., prior to the service.
