LYNN — Mrs. Marie F. (Doucette) Rybicki, 87, of Lynn died on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at her home after a brief illness. She is the wife of the late Stephen R. Rybicki Jr. She was born and raised in Lynn, the daughter of the late John and Mary Rose (LeBlanc) Doucette. She attended St. Jean Baptiste School and was a resident of Lynn all of her life. Mrs. Rybicki worked at the General Electric Company for 25 years, retiring in 1994 as a tool crib attendant.
She loved playing bingo, watching Steve Harvey and traveling. She loved gambling with her lifelong friend Lillian Maffeo. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She played Deal or No Deal and she took the “Deal from Jesus.”
She is survived by her daughter, Colleen A. Slate and her husband Daniel of Lynn, two sons, David A. Rybicki and his wife Jeanine of Lynn and Michael S. Rybicki of Lynn. Six grandchildren, Marnie, Shaun, Mandy McCarthy of New Hampshire, David Rybicki Jr. of Lynn and her two granddaughters who devoted themselves and stayed by her side, Stephanie Ranic and Jessica Munera, she also leaves seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her three devoted cats, Noah, Max and PeeWee. She is the mother of the late Stephen M. Rybicki and Susan Ranic-Gould, and sister of the late Alvin, Alfred, Edward and Edna Doucette and Julia Goguen.
Service information: Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at 9 a.m. from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129) Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, Lynn, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
