LYNN — Patricia L. “Patty” Dunnigan died Saturday, Nov. 26, after a brief illness. Born at the Chelsea Naval Hospital to Claire (Crighton) and the late George Dunnigan, she grew up in West Lynn and was a lifelong Lynn resident. Patty attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and then St. Mary’s High School. She worked in sales for Nynex Phone Company for more than 40 years. Patty was an avid reader and she loved to travel. She had a great sense of humor, and she adored her family, especially her many nieces and nephews.
Patty is survived by her mother Claire (Crighton) Dunnigan of Lynn, her two sisters; Barbara Ruggiero and her husband Richard of Nashua, N.H., Gail Rowe and her husband Don of Marblehead, her four brothers; George Dunnigan and his wife Lorene of Salem, Garry Dunnigan and his wife Patricia of Lynn, Gregg Dunnigan and his wife Cathy of Salem, Glenn Dunnigan and his wife Elizabeth of Lynn, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father George Dunnigan and her sister Joyce (Dunnigan) Petrucelli.
