LYNN — Donna M. (Williams) Often, age 68 years, of Lynn, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Salem Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Gary L. Often and the daughter of the late Donald Lee Williams and Ida Mae (Rhodes) DeMontier. Born in Montgomery, West Virginia, she was raised in Georgia, West Virginia and Detroit before moving to Lynn. A graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1967, Donna worked as a housing director for many years at the Lynn Housing Authority. Always upbeat and positive, Donna enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed interior decorating and watching the Boston Red Sox play.
Besides her loving husband Gary, of 47 years, she is survived by her two daughters, Kim Saputo and her husband Anthony of Peabody and Margaret Kirstein and her husband Neil of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Anthony and Marco Saputo, and Shane Kirstein; her sisters Patricia Brogna and her husband Tony of Lynn, and Cheryl Williams of Lynn; her brothers, Gary Williams and his wife Janet of West Virginia and Eddie Williams and his wife Heather of Lynn; and her stepfather James DeMontier of Lynn. She was the sister of the late David Williams.
Service information: Her funeral will be held on Saturday in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn, at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
