Miriam Alfred, 80

PEABODYMiriam “Mickee” Alfred, 80, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, entered into rest Sunday morning, Sept. 25, 2016 due to complications from COPD. She was the dear daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Alfred.

Mickee is survived by her niece and nephew, Laural and Richard Feinberg of Swampscott, her nephew and niece, Alan and Debra Segal of Chelsea, as well as a great niece, Julie Lucas, whose visits brought her much pleasure, her great nieces, Kimberly and Andrea Segal and great nephew, David Segal. Miriam was so proud of her great-grandnephews, Kyle and Dylan Lucas.

Miriam was a fifty-year plus member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the Worthy Matron of the Lebanon Chapter and Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter. She enjoyed traveling far and wide, visiting many chapters statewide, as well as nationwide. The Star was one of her greatest loves!

Service information: Graveside Services at Pride of Lynn Cemetery, 89 Lakeshore Road, Lynn on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Memorial observance will be announced at the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy should be made in her memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 50 Federal Street, 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
