Swampscott — Margaret A. “Marnee” (Ryder) Salvucci, age 89, of Swampscott, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, at the Bertram House in Swampscott following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Robert Salvucci.
Born in Lynn on July 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa (Callahan) Ryder. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from St. Mary’s Girl’s High School, Class of 1946. She moved to Swampscott in 1975.
Marnee was a beautiful seamstress who enjoyed crafts, ceramics, making stained glass windows and upgrading and remodeling homes. She enjoyed cooking and hosting dinner parties, snow mobiling, camping, cross country and downhill skiing and traveling everywhere with her husband. Marnee was devoted to her family and home. She was an active communicant of Holy Family Church in Lynn.
The Salvucci family would like to acknowledge the residents and staff of the Bertram House of Swampscott for the care and friendship given to Marnee over the years.
Marnee is survived by her two daughters, Maura Laudano and her husband, Andrew, of Swampscott and Diana Salvucci and her wife, Amy Sandlin, of Ft. Worth, Texas, her grandchildren, Kayla Donahue and her fiancé, Bryce McOsker, of East Boston, Marielle Donahue of New York City and Emma Laudano of Swampscott, as well as two nieces. She was the sister of the late Edward “Wizzie” Ryder and the sister-in-law of the late Diane Salvucci and Arnold Salvucci.
Service information: Her funeral will be held on Saturday from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean St., (Route 1A) Lynn, at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, Lynn, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Swampscott Cemetery.
