LYNN — Shawnette Ann Day, age 43, of Lynn, died unexpectedly in Lynn on Friday. She is the daughter of Arthur and Kathleen (Wynott) Rassias. A lifelong Lynn resident, she was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1991.
Shawnette was diagnosed with Lupus 30 years ago, and bravely battled her disease for many years. She had worked as a hairdresser at Jack and Jill Hair Salon in Lynn. She enjoyed making jewelry, and loved her cats. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her loving children.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by four children; Jacob, Nina, Alexander and Ryce Colon; her step-daughter; Juana Colon; her sister; Laurie Summerlin; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Service information: Her visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
