Sandra Gail “Sandy” (Smith) (Love) Sheridan passed away after a lengthy illness in Salem Hospital on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, coincidentally her 76th birthday.
Born on Aug. 7, 1940, in Lynn, Sandy was the loving daughter of the late George H. Smith Jr., and Hazel M. (January) Smith. Sandy was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School with the Class of 1958.
Sandy worked for T.W. Rogers department store before moving on to have a long career with Rich’s Department store, working as an administrative assistant in the company’s human resources department. She also worked with her daughter at Thomas Gregory Associates in Wakefield until her retirement in 2011.
Sandy married her sweetheart, Myles Sheridan, on March 19, 1982, in Lynnfield. The couple enjoyed their time together and loved to devote time in their Lynn home. Sandy had a knack for making crafts, especially beautiful floral arrangements. She enjoyed interior designing and decorating various homes. More recently, Sandy found tranquility sitting and soaking up the surroundings of her luxurious garden and songs of the birds. A warm, kind and humorous person, Sandy kept up her comical sense of humor all the way to the end.
In addition to her husband, Myles, Sandy is survived by her daughter, Cheri (Love) Rossetti and her husband, Joe, of Medford, her grandchildren, Ashley (Rossetti) Ewen and her husband, Jake, of Quincy, AJ Rossetti of Medford, and Billy Goode of Medford, her brother, George H. Smith, III of Middleton and her very dear friend, Donna Grant of Franklin. Sandy was preceded in death by her son, Brian D. Love.
Service information: Visiting hours will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, from 4-8 p.m. All other services will be held privately.
