SALEM, N.H. — Richard J. Fucci, 72, of Salem, N.H., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at his daughter’s home in Salem. He was born in Lynn, a son of the late Domenic and Pauline (McDormand) Fucci.
Mr. Fucci grew up in Lynn and attended the Lynn school system. He worked with his father as a dental technician at his father’s company, Domco Dental Lab in Winchester. He was a diligent and conscientious worker and was always a perfectionist in making dentures. He retired in 2010. Mr. Fucci enjoyed going to country music concerts, especially the Zac Brown Band. He also enjoyed travelling, trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas and vacationing in the White Mountains. Mr. Fucci was a fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics, and liked classic cars. He was an avid bowler at Lucky Strike Lanes in Lynn for many years. He also loved babysitting his granddaughter, Riley, every Wednesday, they grew very close. Riley had papa wrapped around her tiny finger.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy E. Fucci of Salem, a son, Richard Fucci Jr., of Saugus, a daughter, Ashley K. Porter and her husband, Jonathan, of Salem, a brother, Donald Fucci of Marblehead, seven grandchildren, Riley Porter, Jacob, Zachary and Olivia Fucci, Amanda Limoli, Brendan Kirby and Matthew Manning and by two great-grandchildren, Ava and Landon. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lauren Kirby.
Service information: Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016, from 4-8 p.m., in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, N.H. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m., in St. Joseph Church, 40 Main St., Salem. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
