LYNN — Mr. Louis J. LeBlanc, age 94, of Lynn, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2016, at the Twin Oaks Nursing Center, Danvers, following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Marjorie (Alward) LeBlanc and the late Hazel (Loughlin) LeBlanc. Born in New Brunswick, Canada in 1922, he was the son of the late Raymond and Lina (Cormier) LeBlanc. He had lived in Lynn for the greater part of his life. Louis worked as a Union Carpenter for many years and later worked at General Electric until his retirement. He was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Franco-American AMVETS Post 161, Lynn. He enjoyed bowling and was member of the Franklin Merchants Bowling League for many years. Louis loved watching all of the local sports teams, especially the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeanne Fortin and her husband, Robert, of Milford, two grandchildren, Shane and Jason O’Brien, his brother, Alfred LeBlanc, his sister, Virginia Ignatowicz, his devoted nephews, Jimmy and David LeBlanc, as well as his companion of many years, Gloria Crompton, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Stephen LeBlanc and brother of the late Joseph, Emery, Gerald and Ernest LeBlanc, Rita O’Shea and Doris McKay.
