LYNN — Evelyn (Penokas) Vlahakis, age 98, of Lynn, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was the wife of the late George Vlahakis. Raised and educated in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Penokas. She was a lifelong Lynn resident.
Evelyn had worked for General Electric in Lynn for many years. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn, volunteering for various functions there. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Gail Vlahakis, and her grandson, Ted Vlahakis.
Service information: Her graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
