LYNN — Police arrested three men and seized more than 500 grams of cocaine and two handguns on Tuesday morning after executing a search warrant at a Washington Street apartment.
Juan Cruz-Garrega, 19, and Jose Rivera, 34, both of Lynn, were charged with firearm possession without a firearm identification card, unlawful improper storage of a firearm and cocaine trafficking more than 200 grams.
Jairo Salado-Ayala, 36, of Lynn, was arrested on a courtesy booking.
At around 6:05 a.m., the Lynn Police Drug Task Force and Middlesex State Police Drug Unit executed the search warrant at 501 Washington St., Apartment 409. Police knocked, heard voices inside, announced themselves, and when it appeared they were not going to be let in, breached the door, and entered the apartment, police said.
In the bedroom shared by Cruz-Garrega and Rivera, police found a shoebox under the bed that contained a fully loaded revolver-style handgun, a large sandwich bag that contained a white powder of suspected cocaine estimated to weigh more than 500 grams, and a digital scale. A loaded semi-automatic handgun was also found inside a suitcase in the room, police said.
The drugs and guns were seized. Salado-Ayala was found to be sharing a second bedroom in the apartment with an unidentified woman, police said.
