LYNN — Phyllis Ann Dunion (Randazzo), 89, passed peacefully on March 27, after a brief stay at the Kaplan Family Hospice House.
Phyllis was the youngest of 11 children born to Angelina (Fulco) and Phillip Randazzo, of Saugus. She married Frank L. Dunion in 1949 and settled in Lynn, where she has happily resided since.
Phyllis was the proud mother of Frank K. Dunion, whom she has always loved dearly.
Over the years, Phyllis has been very involved in church activities, cooking, bingo and spending quality time with family and friends. Phyllis was also a 20-year volunteer for GLSS. Phyllis and her daughter-in-law Dianne shared a special bond, which continued to grow stronger throughout the years.
The shining stars of Phyllis’s life were her three granddaughters, Heather Anne Neville, Lindsay Marie Gervino and Meaghan Kathleen Conant. Phyllis eagerly welcomed “her boys” into the family, Stephen Neville, Michael Gervino and Roger Conant, and thoroughly enjoyed her four great-grandchildren, Sarah and Rose Neville and Andrew and Julia Gervino. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Frank, as well as all of her siblings. Phyllis also leaves several nieces and nephews.
In addition to Hospice, the family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all of the conscientious, caring support personnel of GLSS, VNA and St. Mary’s Plaza.
Phyllis was truly a ray of sunshine, and she will be dearly missed.
