Shirley A. LeBrasseur, 94

LYNN — Shirley Ann (Quinn) LeBrasseur, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away in her home on Sunday morning, Dec. 4, 2016 at the age of 94.

Born in Lynn, Shirley was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Quinn. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School with the Class of 1940.

Shirley married her sweetheart, Joseph A. LeBrasseur, in Lynn before Joseph went off to fight for our country during World War II. The couple spent more than 33 years in marriage together until Joseph’s passing in 1975.

Shirley worked for many years as a department store manager for a few area stores. She began her career with Raymond’s and then Grant’s before finally retiring from Woolworth’s.  In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting as well as playing a friendly card game or a trip to a casino with her daughter.

Through all her years, Shirley’s most precious time was always time spent with her loving family.

Shirley leaves her daughter, J. Sharon Forand of Lynn; her grandchildren, Kenneth Forand of Berlin, N.H., Kelly Romagnoli of Arundel, Maine, Michelle King of Lynn, Ronald LeBrasseur of Salem, Todd LeBrasseur of Salem, Russ LeBrasseur of Arizona and Jeff LeBrasseur of Lynn. Shirley is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Crystal, Joey, Alex, Derek, Samantha, Harrison, Henri, Adrianna, Emily, Charla, Claire, Gina and Art, her great-great-grandchildren, Issac and Eliyanah, as well as her daughter-in-law, Claire LeBrasseur of Lynn. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald J. LeBrasseur. Shirley was also the last of eight children.

Service information: A funeral service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
